CHICAGO - UIC men's tennis senior Sebastian Lystad was named Horizon League men's tennis player of the week for the period ending April 18, the league office announced on Tuesday.
The Oslo, Norway native recorded a 4-0 record for the Flames on their home court against a pair of Horizon League foes.
Lystad notched two wins in singles play at No.1 singles and another two at No. 2 doubles. He recorded a 7-6 (6), 6-4 victory over Butler on Saturday and a 6-4, 7-6 (1) win in the season finale against Wright State on Sunday.
In doubles, the senior paired up with Nate Kirk to claim an 8-1 over the Bulldogs and an 8-3 win over the Raiders.
Lystad and the Flames will begin Horizon League Championship play on Saturday April 24 in Indianapolis, Ind.
