Chicago Cup Rounds Out Spring For Men's Soccer

April 22, 2010

CHICAGO- The UIC men's soccer team heads up Lake Shore Drive to participate in the 2010 Chicago Cup in Evanston, Ill. and cap the spring exhibition slate against local rivals.

The Flames will face host Northwestern this Sunday, April 25 at 11:30 a.m.

After Loyola and DePaul play at 12:45 p.m., the consolation game will start at 2 p.m. and the Chicago Cup championship match will take place at 3:15 p.m.

"This should be a great exhibition of the quality of college soccer here in the Chicagoland area," said UIC head coach Sean Phillips. "All four teams are no strangers to the NCAA tournament over the past five years. The challenge of playing Northwestern and either Loyola or DePaul will be a great test of the strides we have made since we started together in February."
