CHICAGO - Next Monday's (vs. Western Illinois) pre-game show on ESPN Chicago will be extended to 30 minutes, and begin at 7:00 p.m. ESPN College Basketball Analyst Andy Katz will join Adam Levinson and Kenny Williams to discuss UIC and Horizon League hoops prior to tip-off.
Due to the National Basketball Association (NBA) season beginning on Christmas Day, and the ESPN Chicago being the radio home for the Chicago Bulls, UIC's previously announced broadcast schedule on WMVP-AM 1000 has been altered.
The Central Michigan (Dec. 15) road game and contest versus Detroit (Dec. 29) will not air on ESPN Chicago. As mentioned, Friday's game against the Chippewas will air exclusively on UICFlames.com as a free webcast, while the Detroit contest will offer live audio and video on the Horizon League Network.
Additionally, UIC's road contest at Dayton on Dec. 23, along with the home game against two-time national runner-up Butler (Jan. 19) will now air on ESPN Chicago.
Stay tuned to UICFlames.com, and the department's Twitter sites (@UICFlamesSID, @uicflamesdotcom) for further updates on when Andy Katz's appearance will air on next Monday's pre-game show.
