CHICAGO - Returning to the Flames Natatorium after back-to-back meets on the road, the UIC men's and women's swimming & diving teams captured a pair of wins over Illinois Institute of Technology, with the women additionally overcoming Butler, on Saturday. The men's squad finished with a 163-66 advantage over the Scarlet Hawks, as the women bested IIT, 166-37, and Butler, 148-82.

"We just finished the third week of four weeks of competition and were able to change our lineup a little bit to see some different things," head coach Paul Moniak said. "We saw some things from athletes we were impressed with, as it was nice to see them race under different conditions and events. From last weekend, we had to lick our wounds a little bit and now we feel confident going into the TYR Invitational and how we are going to do next weekend."

The men's team (3-3, 1-1 HL) took the best times in 12-of-13 events over IIT and collected several top-three finishes. Vince Errichiello, Christian Grobe, John Mordach, Sean Mayfield, Kei Ishimaru, Sebastian Ostrowski and Mike Greco all contributed with first-place finishes in their events.
