Schuh, Higginbotham, Zaluckyj Wrap up Competition at NCAA West Regional

AUSTIN, Texas - Senior jumper Kellie Schuh finished 30th in the pole vault, highlighting the UIC men's and women's track & field team's performance in the NCAA West Regional hosted by the University of Texas.

Schuh leaped 3.92 meters, out-jumping 10 other competitors - the top-12 finishers advance to the ensuing NCAA Championships. Meanwhile, senior Matt Zaluckyj took 31st in the 800-meter run, crossing the finishing line in 1:51.76. Justin Higginbotham, a junior jumper, finished 39th in the triple jump with a leap of 14.67 meters.

"It was exciting to have a great representation at such a prestigious meet," said head coach Jim Knoedel. "Congrats to all of our athletes on a very good outdoor season."
