Final Stats CLEVELAND, Ohio - The UIC women's soccer team (2-13-0, 0-5-0 HL) dropped a 1-0 decision to Horizon League-member Cleveland State (8-6-2, 3-2-1 HL) in double overtime Saturday afternoon at Krenzler Field. Freshman Katie Bainbridge scored the lone goal of the match for CSU in the 105th minute of play.

The Flames held the Vikings scoreless through 90 minutes of regulation and 14 minutes of overtime in their first double overtime loss of the season. Freshman goalkeeper Kelly Fritz saved nine shots and continues to lead the Horizon League with 87 saves. UIC has fallen by one goal in each of their last four contests.

UIC was unable to get a shot on the CSU net, and ended the match with three shots to Cleveland State's 21. Freshman Monica Ramirez, junior Flo Beshiri and sophomore Cecilia Magos each took shot attempts for the Flames.

Bainbridge's goal came at the 104:44 mark and was assisted by sophomore Haleigh Shingary. The shot was taken from the top of the box and sank into the far right side of the net just out of the reach of Fritz. Bainbridge ended the afternoon with two shots, both of which reached goal.

The Flames return home to face Horizon League-foe Green Bay on Wednesday, Oct. 22 at Flames Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT.
