Men's Tennis Closes Out Regular Season at Home

CHICAGO- The UIC men's tennis team (4-9, 1-3 HL) closes out the regular season this weekend by hosting Cleveland State Friday and Youngstown State on Saturday. Both matches start at 1:30 p.m. (CT) at the Flames Outdoor Tennis Courts. Saturday's match will honor seniors Alexander Raa and Alan Reifer.

The Flames are coming off of a Horizon League win against Detroit on April 13. UIC defeated the Titans 5-2 at the Franklin Athletic Club in Detroit.

Alan Reifer picked up a singles win defeating Patryk Koscielski, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4. Isaac Lloveras shut down Jay Joshi, 6-3, 6-4. Maurizio Feoli won his match against Ismail Kadyrov, 6-4, 6-3. Christopher Cole won in straight sets against Chance Conley, 6-2, 6-1.

Alexander Raa teamed up with Lloveras to drop Joshi and Kadyrov, 8-5. Reifer and Cole joined forces to defeat Bobby Cawood and Matt White, 8-1.

Cleveland State is 12-7 this season and most recently dropped a match to Green Bay, 4-3, on April 12. Youngstown State is 5-14 and lost to Green Bay, 7-0, on April 13.
