CHICAGO- The UIC men's tennis team (3-8, 0-3) fell to Green Bay Sunday, 7-0, at the Western Racquet and Fitness Club.

"It was good to have our full line up back for singles," stated head coach Hans Neufeld. "Four matches were tight and I was proud of their level of competitiveness."

In singles competition, Alexander Raa fell to Michael Tenzer at No. 1, 7-6, 6-1. Alan Reifer competed at No. 2, but dropped to Leopold Gomez Islinger, 7-2, 7-6. Isaac Lloveras fell in straight sets to Howard Scott at No. 3, 6-3, 6-1. Carl Hedstrom competed against Joey Leto at No. 4, but lost 3-6, 6-1, 6-4. At No. 5, Christopher Cole was defeated by Rowan Isaaks, 6-4, 6-3. Maurizio Feoli pushed his No. 6 match to three, ultimately falling to Michael Tebon, 6-3, 3-6, 7-5.

Hedstrom and Feoli teamed up at No. 1 doubles, but was unable to come out on top against Tenzer and Scott falling 8-2. Eric Pontow and Nate Campanile were downed by Isaaks and Gomez Islinger at No. 2, 8-1. The match with Raa and Lloveras against Tebon and Leto went unfinished.

The Flames next competition is against Northern Illinois on April 8 at the Flames Outdoor Tennis Courts. Competition is set to get underway at 5 p.m. (CT)
