UIC Men's Tennis Announces 2014-15 Schedule

2014-15 Men's Tennis Schedule

CHICAGO - The UIC men's tennis team released its schedule for the 2014-15 campaign, and the Flames begin their dual season on Jan. 17 at DePaul. UIC started its fall season last weekend with the three-day River Forest Collegiate Invitational and wraps the pre-dual match season with the ITA Midwest Regional (Oct. 16-20) at the University of Michigan.

Following the DePaul match, the Flames will make a trip to Kalamazoo, Mich. to face Western Michigan (Jan. 19). UIC will then head to Rockford, Ill. to compete in back-to-back matches against Northern Illinois and Wisconsin-Whitewater on Jan. 23. The Flames match up with Northwestern in Evanston on Feb. 1 before competing at Elmhurst College (Feb. 6).

UIC's home opener is set for Feb. 7 against Saint Louis at the
Hinsdale Racquet Club before another home match against Southern Illinois (Feb. 14). A day after the SIU contest, the Flames will travel to Milwaukee for a match at Marquette (Feb. 15). The Flames will welcome IPFW to the Hinsdale Racquet Club on Feb. 21 and then travel across town to match up against the University of Chicago on Feb. 28.

Competition in March begins at the
Hinsdale Racquet Club against Oral Roberts (March 6) and UIC will make a Spring Break trip (March 21) before competing at IUPUI on March 27. The Flames close out the month of March with the Horizon League opener at Wright State on March 29.

April serves as a busy month for the Flames, as they compete against five Horizon League teams. The Flames begin a three-match home stand against Green Bay April 3. The Flames welcome Detroit (April 11) and Valparaiso (April 12) to the Flames Outdoor Tennis Courts before closing out regular season play in Ohio against Youngstown State (April 18) and Cleveland State (April 19).

The Horizon League Championships begins on April 24 and continues through April 26 in Lafayette, Ind. As the fall season continues, be sure to check back to UICFlames.com for more information regarding the men's tennis team.
