HINSDALE, Ill. - The UIC men's tennis team (2-5) hosted Southern Illinois (1-5) at the Hinsdale Racquet Club Saturday. The Flames fell short to the Salukis, 5-2.

Louis Theodor competed against Szymon Opiezonek at No. 4 singles and defeated him in three sets, 7-5, 4-6, 11-9. Maurizio Feoli collected UIC's second win of the night at the No. 5 spot against SIU's Daniel Martinez, 7-5, 6-1.

At No. 6 singles, Mitch Granger won the first set (7-5) before dropping the final two sets to Aidan Saggers, 6-4, 7-5. In doubles, Theodor and Christopher Cole were winning 5-3 at the No. 2 spot but the match ultimately went unfinished.

The Flames make a quick trip to Milwaukee to take on Marquette Sunday at Noon.
