HINSDALE, Ill. - The UIC men's tennis team (2-7) hosted IPFW (5-4) at the Hinsdale Racquet Club on Saturday night and fell by a 4-3 score. The Flames captured the doubles point but dropped four of six singles matches.
In doubles, Isaac Lloveras teamed up with Carl Hedstrom at the No. 1 spot and came back from 3-0 down to defeat Muadi and Andrews, 7-6. At the No. 2 position, Maurizio Feoli and Louis Theodor defeated their opponents by a 6-2 score.
Lloveras defeated Gerard Guell in straight sets, 7-6, 6-2, at No. 1 singles. Hedstrom was victorious over Carlos de Val in the No. 3 spot 6-7, 6-2, 6-3. Lloveras picked up his second win at the top singles spot and Hedstrom now owns four victories in dual play.
The Flames return to action on Saturday (Feb. 28) as they travel across town to take on University of Chicago starting at 6 p.m. CT inside XS Tennis.
