CHICAGO - The UIC men's tennis team (1-4) will make a quick trip to Elmhurst Friday evening to take on Elmhurst College (0-0). The event is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. CT. inside Courts Plus.
The Blue Jays, a Division-III member, went undefeated in conference play last year and won the 2014 CCIW tournament championship.
Mitch Granger enters this weekend having collected two of the Flames' four singles wins assisting in UIC's sole victory against Wisconsin-Whitewater on Jan. 23. Granger leads UIC with three singles wins while Carl Hedstrom has picked up two victories. The No. 1 doubles pairing of Isaac Lloveras and Louis Theodor owns a team-high two wins.
The Saint Louis match, originally scheduled for Saturday at the Hinsdale Racquet Club, has been canceled. Instead, the Flames will hold an intrasquad Blue vs. White scrimmage.
