HINSDALE, Ill. - The UIC men's tennis team (3-8) hosted Oral Roberts (4-7) at the Hinsdale Racquet Club on Friday night. The Flames collected their third win of the season, defeating the Golden Eagles by a 4-3 score.

In the No. 1 singles spot, Isaac Lloveras defeated Amar Saletovic, 6-3, 6-4. Maurizio Feoli collected his third singles win of dual play at the No. 6 spot with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Ciaran Lavers.

Carl Hedstrom (2-6, 6-4, 6-2) and Louis Theodor (6-3, 6-3) defeated their opponents in the No. 3 and No. 4 positions, respectively. Theodor leads the squad with six singles wins in dual play and Hedstrom owns five victories.

Lloveras and Hedstrom picked up the Flames' lone doubles victory, defeating opponents Alejandro Capdequi and Jan Pehnec, 6-3. This doubles duo has gone undefeated (3-0) when paired together at No. 1.

"Despite losing a tough doubles point tonight, I was very pleased with the resolve of our team," said UIC head coach Hans Neufeld. "It was disappointing to fall in doubles play as we had many opportunities to secure the point, but the seniors did a great job of leading the charge in singles."

The Flames return to action on March 27 when they travel to Indianapolis to take on IUPUI. Competition is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. CT inside the West Indy Racquet Club.
