LISTEN TO INTERVIEW

CHICAGO - UIC head men's basketball coach Steve McClain has been at the helm of the Flames' program for a little over three months. His hiring has garnered media attention as McClain has made appearances with Comcast SportsNet, ESPN Radio 1000, WBBM Newsradio 780, Sports Illustrated and Atlanta's JR the Bossman Show. He also threw out the first pitch and sang "Take Me Out To the Ball Game" on May 15 at Wrigley Field.

WGN Sports' Sam Panayotovich was the latest media member to visit with McClain. Panayotovich watched a summer workout Wednesday (July 1) at the Flames Athletic Center.

Panayotovich sat down with McClain after the workout for a 14-minute interview. McClain discussed a variety of topics including passionate practices, re-energizing the UIC fanbase, adjusting to Chicago and bringing in seven new players.
