April 12, 2016 UIC Athletics is teaming up with the Departments of Campus Student Involvement, Campus Recreation, and University Village Maxwell Street to host the Spring Flames Fest on Saturday, April 16, 2016.

The day-long event will feature various activities and opportunities to cheer on the Flames. The day’s marquee events include a softball doubleheader against Horizon League newcomer Northern Kentucky at noon on Flames Field and an important conference baseball clash vs. Milwaukee at 2 p.m. at Granderson Stadium.

Spring Flames Fest will also include a Lagunitas Patio Party from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Several UIC partners are expected to participate including Pepsi, Power Crunch, Bar Louie, Galata Turkish Cuisine, La Taberna Tapas, Lalo’s Mexican Restaurant, Moxee & Mad Mouse Brewery, Peet’s Coffee & Tea, Quiznos and State Farm. UIC Summer Session is also hosting a party at the event for their students and staff.

Tickets, good for admission to all three UIC games, can be purchased at the door for $8. UIC students and faculty/staff are free with a valid UIC iCard. Additional UIC Athletics sporting events hosted on Saturday include a spring volleyball tournament at the Flames Athletic Center beginning at 9 a.m. and a men’s soccer spring exhibition match at Flames Field at 6 p.m. Admission to both volleyball and soccer events is free.
