Tri-Meet Provides First Horizon League Test

The Flames' swimming and diving team will look to build off several quality performances at the season-opening meet against Indiana State, as they jump immediately into conference competition with a tri-meet at Green Bay with Valparaiso on Saturday.  "Our first road meet will be a big experience for our underclassmen.  We know Green Bay will be prepared to race," head coach Tim Loeffler said.

Flames to Watch
  • Brie Hines showed she will be a force again this season in distance events, sweeping the 500 and 1000 free while also winning the 200 IM.
  • Sophia Shalabi and Lexie Joy each won four events in the meet against Indiana State.
  • Joe Perez, Michael Tegeler, and Nathan Bosse each turned in several impressive swims as the men's team competed in an exhibition last weekend.
  • On the diving side, Cydney Liebenberg won the 1-meter and 3-meter events against Indiana State.  Andrew Lewarchick was the top men's diver on both boards.
About the Competition
