CHICAGO – With three games remaining in the regular season, the UIC women's soccer team (5-11, 3-3-0) will close out the road portion of its schedule Wednesday when it heads north to Green Bay, Wis., for a 7 p.m. CT tilt with the Phoenix (2-10-1, 1-4-1 HL) at Aldo Santaga Stadium.

Last Time Out
The Flames have gone 3-1-0 over their last four matches, including the most recent 2-1 defeat of Youngstown State (Oct. 14), marking a program record three straight conference wins.
Tamae Douglas scored for the third consecutive game and was assisted by
Janai Cedeno and
Olivia Everin before
Emily Valentine notched the game-winner off her third penalty kick goal of the season.
Tara Khayam picked up her first win of the year while making five saves.
Player of the Week
Valentine earned the title of Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week on Monday (Oct. 16) for the first time in her career and to mark the first back-to-back weekly accolades in program history following Douglas' Offensive Player of the Week nod last week. While scoring the game-winning penalty kick goal, she also helped limit the Penguins to just 11 shots.

Horizon League Standings
On the hunt for a spot in the Horizon League Tournament (Oct. 30 - Nov. 4), UIC currently sits in a tie for fifth place with its 3-3-0 record in the conference standings. The Flames are tied with Saturday's opponent in Wright State, while Green Bay ranks eighth and Oakland, UIC's final regular season opponent, is seventh.

Scouting the Flames
The Flames have scored in each of their last seven games, a record streak for the program, as they have posted 11 of their 18 goals on the year in that span. Douglas (4) and Valentine (3) make up the most goals overall as well as in conference play with a combined five. Everin has topped the assist category with four helpers and three against league foes. UIC's 216 shots rank third with top contributions coming from Everin (33), Douglas (30) and Valentine (24), as the trio has put 37 attempts on goal.

Annie DiCanio and
Tara Khayam have been the go-to goalkeepers for the Flames during conference play. While making 60 saves throughout the year, the pair has combined for 25 stops in league matches as DiCanio has posted an impressive 0.76 goals-against-average.

Scouting the Phoenix
After claiming wins against Chicago State and Oakland, Green Bay has gone 0-4-1 in its last five games with losses to Wright State, IUPUI, Cleveland State and Northern Kentucky.

The Phoenix own nine goals this season with five in conference play as Alex Zeller owns four of the tallies with three versus league foes. Eight players have reached double digits in their shot attempts to aid in the team's total of 148 with Carli Vogel (17), Zeller (16), Alyssa Barnes (15) and Maggie Fuller (15) ranking at the top of the group. Of the efforts, 59 have been on goal with a team-best seven from Fuller.

Kelly Kent has played every minute of the last seven matches including all 560 minutes in conference matches. All but two of her 24 saves have been against league foes while she has recorded shutouts against Oakland and Milwaukee.

UIC owns a record of 2-1-0 in the all-time series with Green Bay as it has won the last two meetings in shutout fashion with 1-0 (2015) and 2-0 (2016) decisions.
