Match Highlights
- Phoenix Strike First: Green Bay became the first of the last four conference opponents to score the first goal of the game. In the 30th minute of play, Maggie Fuller took the ball down the right side and shot from 25 yards out to give the Phoenix the 1-0 advantage.
- Birkenhead to the Rescue: Just two minutes after entering the match, Birkenhead netted her first career goal in the 33rd minute to tie the match at 1-1. The tally came on just the second shot of the game for UIC.
- Flames Come Out Firing in Second Half: After being limited to just three shots in the first 45 minutes of play, UIC used the halftime break to its advantage and came back to take five shots in the first 10 minutes back on the pitch. Two resulted in saves from Olivia Everin and Tamae Douglas.
- Corner Kick Connection: Positioned with a corner kick in the 70th minute, Emily Valentine sent in the ball and had it connect with the head of Pollard and go into the back of the net for the 2-1 lead.

- The Flames continued a pair of program-record streaks as they claimed their fourth straight conference win and scored in their eighth-straight match.
- Annie DiCanio was forced to make just two saves as the Phoenix were limited to a conference-opponent-low 10 shots. She earned her fifth win of the year and improved her goals-against-average in league play to 0.82.
- While Birkenhead's goal was credited as the first of her career, she had previously scored the program's first hat trick in UIC's preseason match against Eastern Illinois (Aug. 11).
- Pollard's goal was her second of the season while she was credited with her first career game-winner. Both of her goals on the year have been as headers.
- The Flames outshot their opponent for the second-straight game as they tallied a 12-10 edge. Tamae Douglas led the group with three attempts, followed by Pollard and Rebeca Pallo with two apiece.
- Seven of the efforts reached on goal, the most for UIC since facing Drake (Sept. 17) with Douglas contributing a team-best two.
