CHICAGO – With the 2018-19 basketball season just around the corner, UIC unveiled its full television package for the upcoming campaign today. The Flames will appear on multiple national, local and digital outlets throughout the year.

It was announced in September that UIC would make four national television appearances as part of the Horizon League's slate of six games. The Flames open conference play at Wright State on Dec. 28 and that game will air on ESPN2. One week later on Jan. 4, UIC hosts IUPUI in its home opener on ESPNU. Head coach Steve McClain's squad will make two more appearances on ESPNU in February against Wright State once more (Feb. 1) and Green Bay (Feb. 22).

During the nonconference portion of the docket, the Flames will have back-to-back contests on the national stage at Colorado on Dec. 8 (Pac-12 Networks) and at Wintrust Arena against DePaul on Dec. 14 (FS1).

UIC will make a handful of appearances on regional cable giant NBC Sports Chicago beginning with the home opener on Nov. 15 against William & Mary. A trip to the City of Brotherly Love for a game against Saint Joseph's on Nov. 28 will be carried on the channel, as well. Crosstown rival and 2018 Final Four participant Loyola Chicago will visit the Pavilion on Dec. 1 for an NBCSCH game and later that week another Missouri Valley Conference contender, Illinois State, will play the Flames on that network on Dec. 5. With the exception of the season opener at Notre Dame, UIC's remaining contests will play out on either ESPN+ or ESPN3. The Flames will appear on subscription-based ESPN+ 16 times and on ESPN3 four times. The game against William & Mary will also simulcast on ESPN3 and the tilts against Saint Joseph's Loyola and ISU will also be carried on ESPN+. Familiar voices to Flames fans, Jonathan Hood and Chris Bleck, will call the action from every ESPN+ and ESPN3 home game. Television designation for the game at UND on Nov. 6 will be announced as soon as it becomes available.

ESPN+, which will carry the early rounds of the Horizon League women's basketball and men's basketball championships, offers fans thousands of live events, on-demand content and original programming not available on ESPN's linear TV or other digital networks. Fans can subscribe to ESPN+ for just $4.99 a month (or $49.99 per year) and cancel at any time. Additionally, the swimming and diving and indoor track and field championships will be featured on ESPN3. Launched in April of 2018, ESPN+ is an integrated part of a completely redesigned ESPN App. Already the leading sports app, the new ESPN App is the premier all-in-one digital sports platform for fans offering both ESPN+ and (those fans with a pay TV subscription) access to all of ESPN's "TV Everywhere" streaming of its linear television networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, etc.) and ESPN3. ESPN+ and ESPN's "TV Everywhere" streaming is also available on ESPN.com.
