MUNCIE, Ind. – The UIC women's tennis team (1-3) took a tough 7-0 loss to Ball State (5-2) on Friday evening. The Flames were able to force tiebreakers in two singles matches, but were unable to seal the deal and secure a point.

Doubles Highlights

• Rachel Le Comber and Melika LeBlanc competed No. 2 doubles against Audrey Berger and Rebecca Herrington, and took a 6-4 loss.
• Viktoria Seifert and Stefana Vasic were taken down 6-3 by Ball State's Lilya Hadab Peyton Gollhofer at No. 3
• The No. 1 doubles match between Georgie Sanders/Lejla Colic and Julia Sbircea and Isabelle Dohanics went unfinished.

Singles Highlights

• The Cardinals' Peyton Gollhofer defeated Georgie Sanders 6-2, 6-4 in the No. 1 spot.
• Lejla Colic came close in the first set against Audrey Berger, 7-5, but went on to take a 6-2 loss in the second set in the No. 2 position.
• Melika LeBlanc was also near a first-set victory, 7-5, but then fell 6-4 in the second set against Rebecca Herrington at No. 3
• In the No. 4 position, Amelia Guevremont defeated Isabelle Dohanics in the first set, 6-2, but was edged out in the next two sets, 6-4, 11-9.
• Rachel Le Comber was defeated by Victoria Sec 6-1 in the first set, and fought back with a 6-4 victory in set two, but Sec took set three 6-2 for the win at No. 5.
• Viktoria Seifert fell to Lilya Hadab in straight sets in the No. 6 spot, 6-3, 6-2.
