KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The UIC women's tennis team (5-3) brought home its fourth-straight victory with a 4-3 win over Western Michigan (7-7) Thursday afternoon at West Hills Athletic Club. UIC secured the doubles point in its fourth-consecutive match and broke a 1-1 tie with three-straight singles victories by Rachel Le Comber, Melika LeBlanc and Stefana Vasic to secure the win.

Doubles Highlights
Rachel Le Comber and Melika LeBlanc took down Denise Azcui and Jeryn Jack, 6-2, in the first doubles match of the afternoon at No. 2. Horizon League Doubles Team of the Week Georgie Sanders and Lejla Colic kept their season-long winning streak alive with a 6-4 win over Melina Lyubomirova and Katja Fevralev to put the doubles point on the Flames' side. It was the pair's sixth-straight win this dual season, and fifth straight from the No. 1 position. The No. 3 match between had Viktoria Seifert and Stefana Vasic winning over Barbare Eristavi and Gabriela Slavova, 5-4.

Singles Highlights
Lejla Colic was first up in singles, competing in the No. 1 spot against Melina Lyubomirova, with Lyubomirova coming out on top, 6-3, 6-3. The Flames then rattled off three-consecutive wins, all in straight sets. Rachel Le Comber got things going with a win over Jeryn Jack at No. 5, 6-2, 6-2 for her fourth-straight singles win. Melika LeBlanc followed suit at No. 4 with a 6-4, 6-0 win against Katja Fevralev. Stefana Vasic put the Broncos away for good with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Gabriela Slavova. The victory was her fifth straight in singles competition.

Amelia Guevremont was bested by Denise Azcui in the No. 3 spot, 7-6, 6-3. Georgie Sanders battled with Barbare Eristavi at No. 2, retaliating with a 6-3 win in set two after taking a 6-3 loss in the first set, but Eristavi ended up taking the tiebreaker, 6-1, for the Bronco point.
