DETROIT – The UIC women's tennis team (7-5, 2-0 HL) earned its second Horizon League victory of the weekend at Detroit Mercy (6-11, 1-1 HL) on Sunday. The Flames earned the doubles point for the second-straight match and secured five singles wins to take a 6-1 victory over the Titans.

Stefana Vasic won the No. 3 doubles match by default, and
Rachel Le Comber joined
Melika LeBlanc at No. 2 to take down Pauline Van Herck and Iris Thioux, 6-3 to give the Flames the doubles point and the early 1-0 advantage. The No. 1 doubles matchup between

Lejla Colic and Chelsea Apawti/ Jasmine Apawti went unfinished.
Singles Highlights
Vasic took the No. 6 match by default, and Le Comber won at No. 4 against Ksenia Providokhina, 6-2, 6-0. At No. 2, Jasmine Apawti won against
Georgie Sanders, 6-2, 6-2 for Detroit's only point of the evening. Seifert eliminated Chelsea Apawti, 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5 to put UIC ahead for good.
Lejla Colic outlasted Thioux 6-3, 3-6, 10-5 and at No. 3 LeBlanc won her second-straight singles match with a 7-5, 7-5 victory over Van Herck.
