CHICAGO – The UIC women's tennis team (14-6, 8-1 HL) won its second-straight regular season title Sunday afternoon with a 7-0 shutout win over Cleveland State (11-12, 7-2 HL). Not only was the victory UIC's seventh conference win in a row, but it also secured the Flames the No. 1 seed in next weekend's Horizon League Tournament.

The Flames honored seniors Melika LeBlanc, Miranda Rodriguez Diaz de Leon and Bianca Zuzu prior to first serve and honored their successful UIC careers. 


Doubles Highlights
Melika LeBlanc and Rachel Le Comber started strong for UIC, earning a 6-2 win over Gaby Schoenberg and Jana Shober at No. 2. Georgie Sanders and Lejla Colic won their fourth-straight match as a pair with a 6-3 victory against Isabella Spindler and Aleksandra Golawska at No. 1, giving the Flames the doubles point. The No. 3 doubles match between Viktoria Seifert/Miranda Rodriguez Diaz de Leon and Blanche Lenoan/Anastasia Perin went unfinished.

Singles Highlights
Le Comber bested Schober at No. 4 to start singles, 6-0, 6-2. Seifert completed the regular season undefeated in Horizon League play, defeating Lenoan 6-4, 6-2 for her 12^th straight win. Sanders secured the win for the Flames with a straight-set win over Schoenberg at No. 2, 6-3, 6-3. Zuzu won her sixth-straight with a 6-2, 6-4 win against Perin at No. 6, and Colic took down Spindler at No. 1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-0. LeBlanc wrapped the day and completed the sweep for the Flames at No. 3, defeating Golawksa 3-6, 7-6 (7), 6-4.
