CHICAGO -- The Horizon League and ESPN announced the conference's national television package today and the UIC Flames will be featured a League-high four times throughout the season.

The agreement between ESPN and the Horizon League calls for six intra-conference contests to be carried on either ESPN2 or ESPNU. UIC has been selected to participate in four of the six games, including two against defending Horizon League champion Wright State. The Flames and Raiders will ignite conference play on Friday, December 28 in a game that will be shown live on ESPN2 at 6:00 p.m. CT.

One week later, on Friday, January 4, UIC will play its first game in 2019 at the UIC Pavilion against the IUPUI Jaguars. The third meeting between the two programs as conference foes will air on ESPNU at 6:00 p.m. CT. The Flames won both matchups a year ago, topping the Jaguars in Indianapolis, 70-65, before taking care of business in Chicago, 71-62.

UIC returns to the ESPNU airwaves on Friday, Feb. 1 for a rematch against Wright State, this time at the Pavilion. Fans will plenty of time to arrive early and get fired up for the contest with an 8:00 p.m. CT tip-off on the docket.

The final nationally-televised game in this package comes on Friday, Feb. 22, when the Flames host the Green Bay Phoenix at 8 p.m. CT. UIC knocked off Green Bay in the Pavilion last season, 84-73, and knocked off the Phoenix at the Kress Center in Wisconsin, 83-75.

In UIC's lone appearance on ESPNU last season, the Flames went into Oakland's O'rena on Feb. 2 and topped the Golden Grizzlies, 79-73. It was the team's fifth consecutive road win and the first-ever victory at the O'rena.

The other two games that are part of Wednesday's announcement will feature Wright State and Northern Kentucky. Those meetings will take place on Jan. 11 (ESPN2) and Feb. 15 (ESPNU).

UIC is expected to unveil its complete 2018-19 schedule on Sept. 13. The full television schedule will be released as soon as it is available.
