UIC's road warriors will be at it again Saturday when they venture to Detroit for a Horizon League showdown with Detroit Mercy.
It is the first of three straight road matches, and part of a five-out-of-six span away from Flames Field. The Flames are 1-1 on the road in conference play. They sit at 2-2 overall in the Horizon League and are in a tie for fifth place. Four of the team's five remaining games are against teams currently below them in the standings, starting with the 0-3-1 Titans.
UIC has won two straight against Detroit Mercy. Both wins have come by shutout. The last time the teams met in the Motor City, the Flames left with a 3-0 result.
