UIC scored 195 points for the third straight meet, using a season-best team performance on floor to boost their score in the final rotation. All five of the Flames' scores on floor were 9.800 or higher, and the team totaled 49.200, to pull away from Eastern Michigan, 195.000-193.075. It was the fourth straight first place finish for the Flames, and they remained perfect (5-0) against MAC competition.
"The girls just killed it on floor," co-head coach
Peter Jansson said. "This may have been our best meet of the season from start to finish, and I'm a little surprised our score wasn't closer to 196. Against another MAC opponent we knew we had to be close to perfect on floor to hang on, and we were."
