Fresh off a record-setting performance Sunday, the Flames will be right back in action Tuesday night in a dual meet at Western Michigan. The midweek meet, a Tuesday night tradition for the past three years, will give UIC another chance to boost their national qualifying score (NQS). That score, an average of each team's top six scores of the season with weight given to road meets, determines which teams will qualify for NCAA Regionals.
With their school record sixth score of 195 or higher Sunday, UIC upped its NQS to 195.210. That places the Flames 33
rd in the national rankings. The top 36 teams compete at regionals. Past results would indicate a strong performance Tuesday: at the last three meets at WMU, each coming just 48 hours after the previous meet, the Flames had their highest score of the season.
