CHICAGO -- UIC will participate in its busiest week of the outdoor season to date with Flames competing in California and Chicago between Thursday, April 18 and Saturday, April 20.

The action kicks off with four Flames in action on Thursday in California. A pair of seniors, Allison Hansen and Brixton Rill, will run the steeplechase at the Bryan Clay Invitational, which is held at Azusa Pacific University. Rill will go first and run in the fourth of six heats for the men, while Hansen is in the second of six heats for the women. Click here for live results from the Bryan Clay Invitational.

Also on Thursday, two UIC student-athletes will represent the program by running the 10K at the Mt. SAC Relays in Torrance, Calif. Carlos Cabrera will run first at approximately 9 p.m. CT, while California native Ai Kaisho will run the women's race at about 10:15 p.m. Click here for results from the Mt. SAC Relays.

The bulk of the contingent in California will get going in earnest on Friday. Martin Skucas will run the men's steeplechase at the Beach Invitational hosted by Long Beach State. He will be the only Flame at that meet, while Sean Barber, Darryl Harlan and Destiny Tomlin will run the 400-meter dash at Mt. SAC on Friday.

Rill and Hansen will continue their busy weekends on Friday by each running the 1,500-meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational. Alex Bashqawi will also take part in the 1,500-meter run. Joshua English and Kayla Isom will enter the 800-meter dash, while Michael Meskill will go the 400-meter distance. Jakob Mogorovic (men's 400-meter) and Janine Fajardo (women's 100-meter) will run hurdles at Azusa Pacific. In field events, Genora Garcia will throw shot put and the reigning Horizon League Field Athlete of the Week Shaun Wollenweber will enter the triple jump. The Flames will also enter a men's 4x400 relay team.

The majority of the California crew will be back at the Beach Invitational on Saturday. Other Flames will participate in the DePaul Invitational at Lane Stadium in Chicago.
