NAPERVILLE, Ill. -- Highlighted by
Shaun Wollenweber's first-place finish in the triple jump, three UIC Flames picked up top-10 finishes at the Dr. Keeler Invitational hosted by North Central College.
Wollenweber's winning mark Friday was 14.69 meters, greater than the distance that helped him capture the Horizon League championship last weekend. It was the senior's fourth event title in the triple jump this spring and his sixth top-five finish.
Jakob Mogorovic added a sixth-place showing in the 400-meter hurdles on Friday. He crossed the line in 53.91 seconds. That time was faster than the mark that secured him a third-place finish in the Horizon League championship last weekend (54.03).
The third top-10 finisher for the Flames was
Brixton Rill in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. He finished that race in 9:13.31. Rill finished 10
th.
