CHICAGO – In the latest episode of Zooming In on the Flames, UIC Athletics sat down with all 11 newcomers of the UIC volleyball team - Mikala Henderson, Taylor O'Malley, Zahria Woodard, Jaclyn Oblena, Martina Delucchi, Becca Oldendorf, Jackie Yau, America Galvan, Abigail Sunga, Amelia Sunga, Morgan Kull.

The series gives student-athletes and coaches a chance to share their experiences during a fall semester and sport season that has been dramatically affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Under social distancing protocols, the interviews are done over Zoom with UIC Athletic Communications staff.

The newcomers discussed how they've gotten to know one another as a team, why they chose UIC and what the team has been working on to get ready for the future.
