CHICAGO – In the latest episode of Zooming In on the Flames, UIC caught up with Mark Lemke and Taylor Frommer from the Flames' cross country and track & field programs.
 
The series gives student-athletes and coaches a chance to share their experiences during a fall semester and sport season that has been dramatically affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Under social distancing protocols, the interviews are done over Zoom with UIC Athletic Communications staff.
 
The pair recently wrapped up their freshman seasons and return as experienced sophomores to UIC. Lemke and Frommer talk about the growing pains as a freshman, training during the summer away from the team and more in this latest episode.
