CHICAGO – UIC women's basketball head coach
Tasha Pointer released the team's non-conference schedule on Wednesday. The Flames will be playing four games prior to the start of Horizon League play, one at home and three on the road.
UIC will make its season debut on Wednesday, Nov. 25 at Eastern Illinois. Following the Thanksgiving holiday, the Flames will square off on the road with Eastern Michigan (Nov. 29), marking the fourth-straight season the two teams have met.
UIC's home debut is set for Wednesday, Dec. 2, when the Flames will host city-rival Chicago State. The Flames have come out victorious in their last seven meetings with the Cougars, including last season's 73-61 win on Chicago State's turf.
At this time, UIC will not host fans for home games at Credit Union 1 Arena due to current public health regulations. Flames fans can watch all women's basketball games on the ESPN family of networks, as in past years.
The non-conference slate will wrap up on Saturday, Dec. 5 in Kalamazoo, Mich. as UIC battles with Western Michigan.
Horizon League action for the Flames kicks off on Dec. 12 at Oakland. The full Horizon League schedule, which was released on Nov. 4, can be found
