CHICAGO – UIC head coach Luke Yaklich announced Friday (Nov. 13) the nonconference schedule for the upcoming 2020-21 basketball season. The schedule features two games on the road and a pair of games inside Credit Union 1 Arena.

"We are really excited about our nonconference schedule," said Yaklich. "Like many programs throughout the state and country, we remained diligent in communicating with teams throughout the last three months. We feel this is a competitive schedule that will help prepare us for the upcoming Horizon League season."

The Flames will tip off the season on Wednesday, Nov. 25 on the road at Northern Illinois. After a two-year hiatus, UIC and the Huskies will meet for the 42nd time in program history prior to the Thanksgiving holiday.

UIC will return home and begin play inside Credit Union 1 Arena on Saturday, Nov. 28 against Trinity International before taking on Valparaiso at home on Tuesday, Dec. 1. The two games are part of the UIC Basketball Invitational, with Trinity International scheduled to play Valparaiso on Sunday, Nov. 29, in Valparaiso.

That following Saturday, Dec. 5, the Flames will hit the road to take on Ball State for the second year in a row.

Tipoff times for all contests in the 2020-21 season will be announced soon. At this time, UIC will not host fans for home games at Credit Union 1 Arena due to current public health regulations. Flames fans can watch all men's basketball games on the ESPN family of networks, as in past years.

An additional nonconference game may be added to the Flames' schedule prior to the start of Horizon League play on Dec. 19.
