Women’s Tennis Welcomes Louisiana to Chicago

Flames host Ragin’ Cajuns Sunday at 1 p.m. CT

CHICAGO – The UIC women's tennis team (3-2) will welcome Louisiana (8-0) to Chicago on Sunday, Feb. 23 at XS Tennis. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. CT.

The Flames are coming off a split weekend, defeating Valparaiso 4-1 on Saturday, Feb. 15 before finishing the weekend with a 4-0 loss to city-foe Northwestern on Sunday (Feb. 16).

UIC is 11-14 so far in singles matches, led by a perfect 4-0 record from freshman Izzy Marshall. In doubles the Flames are 7-5, led by the tandems of Nell Arendt and Lucie Prochazkova as well as Karyna Bihel and Marshall with two wins apiece.

Louisiana is without a loss so far this dual season, boasting an 8-0 record. The Ragin' Cajuns most recently delivered a shutout performance against McNeese State on Tuesday, Feb. 18.
UIC will hit the road next week to take on Toledo on Saturday, Feb. 29.
