CHICAGO – Following two weeks of training, the UIC track and field programs are back in action this weekend for a pair of meets. The Flames will split its squads and compete at the Notre Dame Meyo Invitational (Feb. 7-8) and the North Central College Invitational (Feb. 8).

Friday in South Bend will begin at 4 p.m. (ET) and will consist of six field events before transitioning to the running events. Action will continue into Saturday, with the final 14 events being broadcast on ESPN3. Action at the NCC Invitational will kick off at 10:30 a.m. with the running events, with the field events slated to begin at 11 a.m.

Last time out, Kayla Isom and
Josh English led the way with sixth and ninth-place finishes in the 800m and mile, respectively.

The Flames had a strong showing in the 400m, recording three top-20 finishes on both the men's and women's sides. Bailey Moran finished 10th in the event (1:01.75) and was joined in the top-20 by Renata Wingert (12th – 1:02.27) and Rachel McKenzie (17th – 1:04.81). On the men's side,
Sean Barber put forth a 15th-place finish (53.35) while
Dalton Burke (17th – 53.55) and
Trevor Tousana (18th – 53.56) also finished in the top 20.
