UIC's women's tennis team looked sharp in their full-squad debut, cruising to a 7-0 win over Grand Valley State Friday afternoon.

The Flames dropped just one set all day, on the #3 doubles court.  UIC had already clinched the doubles point, and went on to sweep the singles matches.

Doubles Results

• Marina Hermanny de Figueiredo and Nell Arendt turned in a 6-3 win on the #2 court.
• Mere moments after their teammates prevailed, Agnes Gustafsson and Dominika Hravalova won at #1 by the same 6-3 score.
• Ana Jover and Lea Forste-Dinell dropped a 7-5 decision at #3.

Singles Results

• Gustafsson opened play atop UIC's lineup.  She was on point in a 6-2, 6-0 win.
• Forste-Dinell won her first collegiate singles match in a 6-1, 6-0 victory at #6.
• Jover wrapped up the team win with a 6-1, 6-2 final on the #3 court.
• Hrabalova, playing in the #4 flight, won 6-2, 6-1.
• Arendt was the only Flame to lose more than three games in any set.  She had a more dominant second set in her 6-4, 6-0 win at #5.
• Hermanny de Figueiredo completed the sweep with a 6-2, 6-3 win at #2.
