CHICAGO – The UIC volleyball team has earned the No. 4 seed in next week's Horizon League Championship as the regular season came to a close Sunday (Nov. 14) afternoon. The conference championship will be hosted by Milwaukee, who earned the No. 1 seed and the right to host the tournament after finishing Horizon League play with a 16-2 record.
 
The Flames will begin their tournament run on Friday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. against the fifth-seeded Phoenix of Green Bay. UIC and Green Bay met once this season back on Sept. 28 in the third match of the Horizon League slate, with the Flames picking up a 3-0 sweep at home.
 
Northern Kentucky claimed the No. 2 overall seed while Wright State (No. 3) and Oakland (No. 6) will play in the other quarterfinal match on Friday. The lowest remaining seed to will Milwaukee on Saturday, with the highest remaining seed squaring off against the Norse.
