UIC will look to get another winning streak started when the Flames host Purdue Fort Wayne Wednesday afternoon in Rockford.

The Flames won their first three matches of the season, but suffered their first loss in their last nine regular season matches in their last outing at Wright State.

"We've had some great practices this week. Saturday was fantastic, and that has carried through today," Dustin Downey said.  "The girls are chomping at the bit to get back out there tomorrow."

Purdue Fort Wayne is in their first season in the Horizon League.  Wednesday's match will be the first-ever meeting between the programs.  Downey emphasized the respect his team and staff have for the Mastodons, but said that the focus was more internal in training.

"It's definitely been a heavier weight on us this week to get back to doing what we need to do.  We need to get better at our gameplan, who we are as a team, and our identity.  We lost that over the last few weeks and we need to instill that back into our game.

"Our intensity needs to improve.  Are we playing as a unit, and sticking to the gameplan, or are people doing their own thing?  Our competiveness and communication can be better.  We need to be more specific when communicating during the game so that our teammates can make better decisions."

UIC remains in a tie for first place in the conference, with nine points.
