BRONX, N.Y. – Five Flames scored in double figures Tuesday (Nov. 22) evening as the UIC men's basketball team rolled to an 89-66 victory over Holy Cross on the final day of the Tom Konchalski Classic.

UIC was led by
Toby Okani, who filled the stat sheet to the tune of a career-high 20 points, a career-best matching 13 rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocks for his second double-double of the season.
Filip Skobalj scored a career-high 17 points thanks to a 4-for-5 night from the three point line.

Cameron Fens added a personal-best 14 points in just his sixth collegiate appearance and
Tre Anderson chipped in 17 points and seven rebounds.
Jace Carter heated up down the stretch to finish with 12 points.

As a team, the Flames distributed the ball with conviction, collecting 17 assists while turning the ball over only six times. Conversely, UIC forced the Crusaders into 16 turnovers on the night.

Fens got to work early, scoring seven of UIC's first nine points as the Flames built a 9-3 lead. That was all the cushion the team would need, as the Flames would lead for the remainder of the contest. The squad maintained the pressure throughout the half, building the lead to as many as 13 before taking an 11-point advantage into the halftime break at 45-34.

Three-straight points by Fens opened the second half and the Flames would cruise for the remainder of the contest. UIC built the lead to as many as 25 over the final 20 minutes and maintained a double-digit lead for the entire half, cruising to the 26-point victory.

UIC will spend a few days in Chicago before heading north to renew its long-time rivalry with former conference foe Green Bay on Saturday, Nov. 26. Tipoff inside the Kress Center in Green Bay is slated for 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
