CHICAGO – A small contingent of Flames were in action Saturday afternoon during the second day of the Meyo Invite, hosted by Notre Dame.

"Today was another solid ay for the Flames," said head coach
Ashley Lucas. "We only had a small crew competing at Notre Dame, but they brought their A-game and we are coming back with some more PRs."

Of the five Flames in action, Bailey Moran recorded the top finish of the day with an 18
th-place showing in the women's 400m (57.07). UIC had a pair of runners in the men's 400m, with
Jesse Casas claiming 27
th place with a time of 49.85 while
Trevor Tousana finished 34
th overall (50.51).

Dathan Maton competed in the men's mile, finishing in a personal-best time of 4:15.96 to place 35
th in the talented field. Cailyn Persinger rounded out UIC competition with a 37
th-place showing in a personal-best time of 10.27.29.

UIC will be back action next Friday, heading to Grand Valley State for the third weekend in a row to compete in the GVSU Big Meet.
