UIC capped off a second win in as many days, running their Horizon League record to 2-0 after a 7-0 defeat of IUPUI Sunday afternoon.

The Flames quickly claimed the doubles point against an undermanned Jaguars squad.  A forfeit and a retirement in singles action helped UIC clinch the team win in short order.  Three straight dominant wins put the Flames on the brink of making it a clean sweep, which they achieved when Marina Hermanny de Figueiredo outlasted her opponent in the third set.

The Flames will hit the road for their next three matches as they continue conference play.

Doubles Results

• The Flames went up a set off the bat when Hermanny and Lea Forste-Dinell were credited with a forfeit win.
• Agnes Gustafsson and Tamara Malazonia polished off a 6-1 win at #1 to wrap up the singles point.
• Dominika Hrabalova and Nell Arendt, who made her return from injury, were deadlocked at 3-all on the #2 court when play was halted.

Singles Results

• Arendt took the forfeit win when IUPUI could only field five singles players.
• Gustafsson did not lose a game, and was cruising in a 6-0, 4-0 match at #1 when her opponent retired.
• Hrabalova was just as dominant, winning 6-0, 6-0 at #3.
• Forste-Dinell posted a 6-0, 6-1 win at #5.
• Malazonia turned in a 6-3, 6-2 win at #2.
• Hermanny grinded out two tiebreakers and had the better of play in the third set tiebreaker, winning 6-7 (6), 7-6 (1), 10-7 at #4.
