CHICAGO – The UIC track and field team concluded its 2022 outdoor season this past weekend with a pair of meets. A group of Flames made their way to the Carius/Gregory Invite in Naperville while a pair of student-athletes traveled to Joliet for the St. Francis Fighting Chance Meet.

Competing at St. Francis, Teresa Mejia finished third overall in the women's 10k, crossing the line in 37:33.57, while
Carlos Cabrera claimed eighth in the men's 5000m (14:40.51).

Over in Naperville at the Carius/Gregory Invite, Tervor Tousana had a trio of top-10 finishes. Tousana finished fourth in the 400 (49.37), sixth in the 200 (22.19) and was part of the 4x100 relay team that claimed third (41.55).
Dalton Burk, who was also part of the relay team, finished just behind Tousana in the 200m (8
th place – 22.34).

Lia Skoufos was UIC's top individual finisher on the women's side, posting a time of 1:00.34 in the women's 400 to finish seventh overall. The quartet of Olivia Dumas, Aiyanna Hilton, Bailey Moran and Kaitlynn Rogers finished seventh in the women's 4x100 relay with a time of 48.46.
