CHICAGO – The UIC men's and women's swimming and diving teams will compete at home this Friday as they take on the University of Chicago in the Flames Natatorium.
The women's team comes off a 2-1 record, and the men 1-2 in their previous quad meet against Evansville, Missouri State, and Bellarmine.
Individually,Â
Victoria Thor finished third overall in the 1650m freestyle.Â
Liam Davis was also third in the same event for the men.Â
Taira Juronis came in second for the 200m breast stroke. She also placed third for the 100m breast stroke. UIC had a strong showing in the relays, with the men's placing third overall in 200m medley, and the women coming in fourth for the event. The men ranked third for the 200m freestyle as well, while the women placed second and third.
The diving team had top finishes too. At 1 meter,Â
Abigail Hellinga got first place and at 3 meters,Â
Ciara McCliment came out on top scoring 257.10, which is a career-best. Men's diving ranked high as well.Â

Hunter Trautmann placed first and second at 1 meter.Â

Bruno Carrillo came in second.
University of Chicago recently beat Wisconsin-Milwaukee for a final score of 182-116 for the women, and 194-106 for the men's team.
UIC's swimming and diving seniors will be recognized, followed by the competition, which starts at 6 p.m.
