CHICAGO (Oct. 26, 2023) – The UIC swimming and diving programs are back in action Friday, as the two programs' head to Milwaukee to compete against the Panthers at Klotsche Natatorium. Events are set to begin at 4 p.m.
This is the fifth meet between the two programs in the past three seasons.

MATCH-UP BREAKDOWN
- The UIC men's program holds an 11-3-1 overall series lead against the Panthers. On the women's side, the Panthers hold a 9-5 series lead.
- The two programs competed against each other last season at Flames Natatorium. In the men's meet, UIC came away victorious with a 195-104 win. Multiple event wins came from seniors Liam Davis (Naperville, Ill./Plainfield North), Jan Komorowski (Lódz, Poland/ Lódz University of Technology) and Ben Ramminger (Deforest, Wis./Deforest Area).
- The women's team was also successful in last year's meet against the Panthers, with the Flames coming away with the 176.5-123.5 victory. Junior Ciara McCliment (Farmington Hill, Mich./Mercy) won both diving events last season, while sophomore Isabella Drake (Hartland, Wis./Arrowhead Union) placed first in the 100 back, sophomore Brianna Corro (Muskego, Wis./Waukesha South) won the 1000 free and junior Kallie Landrum (Keller, Texas/Keller) finished first the 200 free.
THE FLAMES REPORT
- Sophomores Kerry-Leigh Morrison (Gauteng, South Africa/St. Mary's) and Harrison Nolan (Riverside, Ill./Kentucky) were named MVC and MAC divers of the week following their strong performances on the diving board this past week.
- Senior Taira Juronis (Palos Hills, Ill./ Amos Alonzo Stagg) had three second-place finishes last Saturday against Illinois State in the 100 breast (1:07.21), 200 breast (2:27.45) and the 200 individual medley (2:13.61).
- Freshman Molly Kroeger (Easton, Md./Easton) placed second in the 1000 free (10:31.77) on Friday at Indiana State and finished fourth in the 200 free (1:56.67) against the Redbirds on Saturday.
- Freshman Jack Mills (Toronto, Canada/ Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute) earned his first collegiate win against Southern Indiana in the 400 individual medley, finishing in 4:15.98.
- Junior Cory Michalek (Wales, Wis./Kettle Moraine) had two individuals wins in the 50 free (21.56) and the 100 free (48.55) Friday. He was also a member of UIC's 200-medley relay winning team.
