KALAMAZOO, Mich. (Nov. 7, 2023) – The Missouri Valley Conference released its end-of-season All-Conference honors Tuesday evening, following the postseason awards banquet hosted by Western Michigan. The UIC men's soccer team had five representatives on the season, including two first-team honorees.

FIRST TEAM
Jesus De Vicente ranks second in NCAA division I with 11 assists on the year. He has started 17 matches for the Flames this season, tallying four goals.
Bart Muns ranked in the top five in the conference in goals with eight, leading all Flames scorers. He also tallied six assists in 18 matches, ranking in the top five in the Valley in points with 22.
SECOND TEAM
Joshua Torres ranks second on the Flames with 20 points in 18 matches, including seven points in UIC's last three contests. He has netted one match-winning goal this season and ranks second on the Flames with 20 shots on goal.
ALL-FRESHMAN TEAM
Marko Martsinkovsky played in 16 matches in his freshman campaign, starting 13. He ranked seventh among field players in minutes played with 1,164 in the Flames midfield.
Darrell Turcios tallied his first career collegiate point with an assist against Western Michigan on Sept. 30. He started 14 matches and appeared in 16, ranking ninth among UIC field players with 1,092 minutes played.
#3 UIC will take on #2 Missouri State Wednesday morning in the semifinals of the Missouri Valley Conference Men's Soccer Championship. The match will be played at the WMU Soccer Complex on the campus of #1 Western Michigan, with kickoff slated for 10 a.m. CT. Visit the
