CHICAGO – The UIC women's tennis team (9-7, 3-1 MVC) defeated Murray State 5-2 in a Friday morning contest at the XS Tennis Village. The victory is the Flames' third in a row.

After playing on the road for more than a month, UIC returned home to take on the Racers in Friday's match. The Flames are now 4-1 while playing in Chicago.

DOUBLES:
  • Agnes Gustafsson and Natalie Nikolopoulou fell short 6-3 at No. 1 doubles.

  • Tamara Malazonia and Zara Ryan grabbed the doubles point for the Flames after a nail-biter at No. 3, 7-6 (3).
SINGLES:
  • Tamara Malazonia set the tone with a solid performance over Emma Honore 6-4, 6-1.
