CHICAGO (July 20, 2023) – The UIC men's basketball team released a robust 2023–24 non-conference schedule on Thursday, highlighted by several key home matchups and a trip to the Bahamas during the Thanksgiving holiday.

Luke Yaklich. "Through our scheduling process, we achieved exactly what we wanted, which is a challenging slate of non-conference matchups that prepare us for the Missouri Valley Conference season."
After an exhibition game on Halloween night at Credit Union 1 Arena, the Flames will hit the road to open the regular season at Cincinnati (Nov. 6). UIC and Cincinnati will meet for just the fourth time in men's basketball and the first time since 1983. The Nov. 6 contest will also mark Cincinnati's first men's basketball game as a member of the Big 12 Conference.
UIC's home opener will take place Nov. 10, as the Flames play host to Little Rock. The Flames will then visit Loyola (Nov. 14) and entertain Aurora at CU1 Arena (Nov. 19) before heading to the Bahamas.
The 2023 Baha Mar Hoops Nassau Championship will take place Nov. 24-26 at the Baha Mar Convention Center in Nassau, Bahamas. The eight-team field for the event features Brown, Delaware, George Washington, UIC, Kansas City, Middle Tennessee, UNC Greensboro, and Ohio. The Flames will tip off tournament action at 3:30 p.m. (CT) Nov. 24 against Middle Tennessee and will be guaranteed games on the following two days, based on the results from the previous day.
Following the Thanksgiving holiday, the Flames open Missouri Valley Conference play with a Nov. 30 home game against an opponent to be named later before beginning the month of December with a Dec. 8 trip to Jacksonville State. Fans will then have ample opportunities to see UIC at home around the Christmas holiday, as the Flames will close out their non-conference slate with a three-game homestand at Credit Union 1 Arena, featuring matchups against Green Bay (Dec. 12), Western Michigan (Dec. 16), and Incarnate Word (Dec. 21).
Season tickets for UIC men's basketball will go on sale at 10 a.m. (CT) next Monday, July 24. Additional details on the 2023-24 UIC men's basketball schedule, including conference games, remaining tip times and broadcast coverage will be announced later this summer.
