CHICAGO (Aug. 25, 2023) – The UIC women's soccer team is gearing up to face Miami University in a midday matchup Sunday. Both teams enter the match with 0-1-1 records.

UIC opened the 2023 season last week with a 2-2 tie at home against Toledo, with Makenna Maloy and Kaysey Castro scoring for the Flames. The team followed that up with a narrow 1-0 defeat against Wisconsin, as the Flames managed to limit the Badgers to one goal during the 90 minutes of play.

SCOUTING MIAMI 
Miami started its 2023 slate with a 3-0 loss at Ohio State last Thursday. The RedHawks followed that up with a scoreless draw against Indiana State. This will be the second year in a row UIC and Miami have squared off on the pitch. Last season Miami came away with a 3-0 victory at Flames Field.
