KANSAS CITY, Mo. (Sept. 1, 2023) – After a historic win over Marquette Thursday, the Flames women's soccer program (1-2-1) will travel to Kansas City to take on the Roos (1-3-1) Sunday in non-conference action.
The Flames made a statement in their first win of the season as

Bella Baker and Makena Shaw all scored in UIC's shutout victory over Marquette. The win was UIC's first against a BIG EAST school in program history and was also the 50
th win in program history.
SCOUTING KANSAS CITY
In their latest matchup, the Roos (1-3-1) went back and forth with Colorado State, eventually falling 1-0. Kansas City goalkeeper Riley Moore tied a career-high with nine saves in the match against the Rams. The Summit League squad is returning home from a four-match road trip where it went 0-3-1.
This will be the third match between UIC and Kansas City. The two schools have played two other times, in 2017 and 2018. The Flames will look for their first win in the series, as the Roos have come out on top the previous two occasions.

The match against the Roos on Sunday will begin at 1:00 p.m. The afternoon contest can be streamed on the Summit League Network and live stats will be available on the Flames' website.
