CHICAGO (Sept. 6, 2023) – The UIC women's golf program released its 2023 fall schedule Wednesday. The Flames will compete in five tournaments throughout the fall with one competition held in the Chicagoland area. The 2023-24 season marks head coach Angela Rayhill's first leading the women's golf program.
 
"Our program is super excited to be back out practicing and look forward to competing this fall," said Rayhill. "I value the student-athlete experience and look forward to leading our team to excellence on the golf course, in the classroom and in the community."
 
The Flames will open their fall season at the Brittany Kelly Classic (Sept. 18-19) in Muncie, Ind. UIC will follow up that tournament with a trip to Wolcott, Colo. for the Golfweek Red Sky Classic (Sept. 25-27). Held at the Red Sky Golf Club, the course is situated more than 8,000 feet above sea level and is consistently ranked as one of the best public-access courses in Colorado. This will be the 13^th year the classic has taken place. Power Five and top mid-major programs routinely make up the field of the three-day event.
 
The following week UIC will travel to Indianapolis for the Butler Fall Invitational (Oct. 2-3). This will be the third year in a row the Flames have competed in the event, with the program finishing third out of 15 schools a season ago.
 
UIC will be in Illinois for its only competition of the fall season Oct. 9-10 as the team heads to the Merit Club in Libertyville, Ill. for the Loyola Parkinson Invitational. In 2022, the Flames finished in third out of six teams at this event.
 
The Flames will conclude the fall portion of its calendar Oct. 16-17 at the Chippewa Invitational, held at the Birmingham Country Club in Birmingham, Mich.
